Certifications and V.A.E.

The GRETA allows you to obtain all or part of the professional certifications preparing for the jobs of Creation, Design and Fine Crafts.

Every professionalizing and degree course is accessible through VAE (validation of acquired experience). They are modularized and/or cut into blocks of skills.

All certifying and degree-awarding training programs are accessible through the Validation of Acquired Experience (V.A.E.).
If you have significant experience related to the targeted diploma or title, the Validation of Acquired Experience allows you, without any prerequisite training conditions, to obtain all or part of the diploma or title that corresponds to your experience.

The steps of the VAE process

Step 1. Define a project for validating a certification or diploma

The certification (diploma, title, etc.) must be registered in the National Register of Professional Certifications (RNCP).

Step 2. Contact the certifying body for a personalized assessment and to obtain admissibility

You will then need to complete an admissibility application (livret 1).

The activities carried out must be directly related (in nature and in level) to the targeted certification (volunteer work, salaried or non-salaried professional activity: practical internship periods in a company, operational preparation for employment, practical training periods under an apprenticeship contract, a professionalization contract, etc.).

Step 3. Prepare the validation: write and submit booklet 2

Once admissibility has been obtained, you must write a dossier (booklet 2) in which you describe professional activities related to the targeted certification. It must then be submitted to the organization that convenes the jury. At this stage, the candidate can benefit from support from GRETA CDMA.

Step 4. The final assessment

This consists of an interview before the jury, to whom you present your career path and experience. Based on your dossier and your oral presentation, the jury makes a decision: either full validation of the certification, partial validation, or non-validation.
